Associazione Nazionale Libera Caccia

Associazione Nazionale Libera Caccia was officially founded in 1959 and subsequently officially recognized by ministerial decree on March 20, 1968.
At the end of the 1950s, the “founding fathers,” eager to have an independent role and representation in response to what had been for years—with undeniable merits but also with ever-increasing flaws—a veritable associative monopoly, availed themselves of the right of “free association” to found what has been for years the second largest hunting association at the national level.
The aims and objectives of Libera Caccia are the defense of freedom of hunting, fishing, and related activities (dog breeding, clay pigeon shooting, bullet shooting, target shooting, falconry, archery, and sport fishing); the organization of members and the “union” protection of their legitimate interests; the management of the territory and wildlife for the purpose of hunting; collaboration with state, regional, and local authorities; voluntary hunting surveillance; assistance to members with technical and regulatory provisions; dissemination of various technical and legal knowledge; promotion and financing of initiatives aimed at improving the association's image; organization of competitions, exhibitions, displays, and other hunting and fishing events.
