Federazione italiana Tiro dinamico sportivo
FITDS is the only national body responsible for managing and promoting Practical Shooting in Italy. Recognized by CONI as an Associated Sports Discipline and as the official representative of the International Practical Shooting Confederation (IPSC), the Federation coordinates high-level competitive activities involving thousands of athletes and hundreds of amateur sports associations across the country.
Unlike static shooting disciplines, Practical Shooting combines accuracy, speed, and movement. Athletes must solve ever-changing shooting stages, blending technical skills, strategy, and physical readiness.

The motto “Diligentia, Vis, Celeritas” (accuracy, power, speed) summarizes the essence of this sport, where maximum safety is the core value and the absolute prerequisite for every competition.
From youth training programs to international competitions, FITDS promotes a sporting culture based on rigor, discipline, and the constant pursuit of self-improvement.
The Airsoft Division is a type of Practical Shooting that, thanks to the sports equipment used (a realistic compressed-air replica of the firearms commonly used in Practical Shooting), can be practiced by anyone aged 13 and over. This division offers an exciting, stimulating, and highly competitive experience. As in Practical Shooting, Action Air also includes multiple divisions depending on the type of handgun replica used.
Anyone wishing to approach Practical Shooting with airsoft firearms must demonstrate their skills by studying the rulebook, learning safety procedures, and improving their ability to handle their replica. Before participating in a competition, they must refine their movement, accuracy, and speed under the supervision of a certified federal instructor.
