Jan de Haas was born in Holland and is married with 2 children and 3 granddaughters. He has been fishing with his grandfather for all his life and has learned the true art form from his father. Later he came into contact with fly fishing in Denmark and was then devoted to it.

For the past 5 years, he has devoted himself intensively to fly tying and he is now affiliated with various pro teams, such as Ahrex, the Flycompany, Easy shrimp eyes, Deercreek, Smhaen Denmark, Flyfish Europe. He has been invited as a guest in many fairs and shows, such as Dutch flyfair, Nordic flyfair, BFFI, Irish Flyfair, Belgium, Denmark and the Scottish flyfair, and now for the first time in Verona, something completely new to him. He feels very honoured to have been invited and he believes it will be a great event. He is excited to be able to show his skills.
